Mock elections held in 4 locations in Rizal Province

The simulation of the 2025 national and local elections in Rizal Province went well, with a turnout of 90 to 95 percent.

Rizal Provincial Election Supervisor, Atty. Arnulfo Pioquinto told Manila Bulletin that the mock polls held in four schools in Antipolo City and Jalajala in Rizal Province were held as planned with about 90 to 95 percent voter turnout.

Pioquinto said the simulated voting happened from 7 a.m. until 10 a.m. simultaneously at Dela Paz and San Juan National High School, respectively, both in Antipolo City.

Mock voting was also held in two public schools in Bagumbong and Special District both in Jalajala, Rizal.

Actual registered voters voted mock candidates from senator, member of the house of representative, partylist, governor, vice governor down to local positions.

The Comelec Rizal Office noted a glitch-free transmission of votes from the precinct level where the simulated polls were held to the provincial up to to the central office of poll body.

There was a 95 percent voter turn-out in Jalajala according to Pioquinto.

The holding of the mock polls is mandated by Republic Act No. 9369 to ensure an efficient, orderly and safe Automated Election System (AES).
