CAMP VICENTE LIM, Laguna – Philippine National Police chief Police Gen. Rommel Francisco Marbil on Friday, Jan. 24, awarded the Medalya ng Kagalingan to five police officers from the Police Regional Office 4-A for confiscating suspected shabu valued at P13.6 million in a buy-bust operation in Barangay Turbina, Calamba City, Laguna on Jan. 21.

Marbil was assisted by PRO 4-A Director Police Brig. Gen. Paul Kenneth Lucas.
The PNP chief cited the exemplary performance of the operatives.
"This operation highlights the Philippine National Police's unwavering dedication to the fight against illegal drugs and its steadfast commitment to public safety,” Marbil said.
“The courage and professionalism displayed by these officers set a standard for the entire PNP organization. Sa kabila ng panganib na kanilang hinarap, ang ating mga kapulisan ay buong tapang na ginampanan ang kanilang tungkulin upang masiguro ang kaligtasan ng ating mga kababayan mula sa droga (They valiantly faced the dangers to free the people from the dangers of illegal drugs)," Marbil added.
Lucas congratulated the awardees and reaffirmed their commitment to the mission of safeguarding the region from the dangers of illegal drugs and ensuring the safety and well-being of the community.
