A non-government organization based in Tanay, Rizal is holding a marathon activity for the benefit of orphans and neglected children in the province on Feb. 22.

Rehoboth Sampaloc Ministries (RSM), a non-denominated organization led by Frescian Canlas, announced that the MARILAQUE Run 2025 will be held at the scenic Marikina Rizal, Laguna, and Quezon Highway, otherwise known as MARILAQUE Highway in Tanay.

Runners may choose the 5 kilometer, 10 kilometer and 15 kilometer categories with the registration fees of P850, P950, and P999 respectively.

The ministries said 100 percent of the registration fee of the participants will go to charity as donation and the race kits that include a running shirt, a medal, a race bib, and raffle entry.

RSM aims to raise funds for orphaned, neglected, abandoned, and surrendered children under its care in the Tanay shelter facility, the Rehoboth Children’s Home that is located in Barangay Sampaloc, Tanay, Rizal.

The fun run organizers expect the marathon event on February 22 to surpass last year’s figure of 1,200 participants as they hope that RSM’s projects for the orphaned kids would expand.

Tanay municipal administrator, Jeff Pino said the local government, including Mayor Rafael Tanjuatco and Vice Mayor Rex Manuel Tanjuatco support Rehoboth’s projects in Tanay, that aims to help more kids who were neglected or abandoned.

RSM was formerly known as Asian Hope Missionary Outreach of the Philippines. It was established by Bob and Barbara Morris of Perth Western Australia.

Registration for the charity fun run is until Feb. 10 through the link:
