Malacañang has yet to identify the officials and contractors involved in alleged anomalous flood control projects, who President Marcos wants to be investigated.

At present, the Palace has also yet to determine the flood control projects included in their corrupt activities.
"Ngayon, hindi pa natin masasabi in details kung sino at kung anong proyekto ito (We cannot say yet in details who and what projects are involved)," Palace Press Officer and Communications Undersecretary Claire Castro said in a briefing on Friday, Aug. 1.
"Mas maganda po kasi kung mag-uulat kami ng verified (It is better to give a verified report)," Castro added.
"So, bubuuin muna po ang karampatang pag-iimbestiga rito, para po ang maiiulat namin sa bayan ay iyong verified facts (So, a proper investigation will first be conducted here, so that what we report to the public are verified facts)," the Palace official further said.
During his fourth State of the Nation Address (SONA), Marcos declared a full-blown investigation on ghost flood control projects and the people behind it, who are taking advantage of the projects' budget through several schemes, including kickbacks.
Marcos did not mince his words when he called out the money-making scheme perpetrated by officials and contractors, stressing that the Filipino people are fully aware that such acts of corruption are happening.
Due to their corruption, the supposed flood-control projects that are intended to protect communities from the impacts of continuous rainfalls and typhoons failed, and worse are mere "pigments of imagination," Marcos lamented.
