A South Korean national who is wanted in his country for alleged fraud has been arrested in Angeles City in Pampanga, the Bureau of Immigration (BI) said on Wednesday, July 30.
The BI identified him as Park Youngjun, 43, who was arrested by the BI’s Fugitive Search Unit (BI-FSU) inside the Clark Freeport Zone last July 26.
It said that Park “was tagged as an undesirable alien after an Interpol (International Criminal Police Organization) red notice was issued against him, following a warrant of arrest issued by the Seongnam branch of Suwon District Court for fraud in violation of South Korean laws.”
It also said that Park allegedly created fraudulent accounts and subscription notifications on a major South Korean live-streaming platform.
Park is now detained while awaiting his deportation, it added.
