CEBU CITY – A cell phone technician was arrested with more than P1-million worth of suspected shabu in a buy-bust operation in Barangay Ermita here on Wednesday afternoon, July 16.
The 40-year-old suspect, Warren, yielded 150 grams of shabu valued at P1,020,000 when he was cornered by the Philippine Drug Agency-Central Visayas (PDEA-7), Drug Enforcement Group/Special Operations Unit-7, and Carbon Police Station.
Leia Alcantara, information officer of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-7, said Warren was also arrested in June 2015 for illegal drugs.
The suspect was released after he was granted probation.
Alcantara said information reached the PDEA-7 that he returned to his old vice and was selling 200 grams of shabu per week.
The PDEA monitored the suspect for three weeks before he was cornered.
Warren will be charged for violating Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
Alcantara said if proven guilty, the suspect will be slapped with life imprisonment and a fine of P500,000 to P1 million.
