Volvo Philippines is broadening its lineup of offerings to participate in the increasing interest in plug-in hybrid SUVs. It recently launched the Volvo XC90 T8 Ultra Plug-in Hybrid and Volvo XC60 T8 Ultra Plug-in Hybrid. Both models mark the brand’s continued shift toward electrified mobility while staying true to its core values of safety, functionality, and environmental awareness. Both vehicles were unveiled during the "ALIVE: Bringing the World of Volvo to Life" exhibit at the Solaire Resort in Paranaque City.
XC60 T8
The Volvo XC60 T8 Ultra Plug-in Hybrid, aimed at urban dwellers and smaller families, combines a 2.0-liter petrol engine with an electric motor for a total output of 462 PS and 709 Nm of torque. It also uses an e-AWD system and is equipped with an 18.8 kWh battery, enabling up to 80 kilometers of pure electric driving. The XC60's cabin includes Nordico leather-free upholstery, laminated side glass, a crystal gear shifter by Orrefors, and an air filtration system certified by Allergy Standards Limited. A Harman Kardon premium sound system rounds out its luxury features. It is priced at ₱4,550,000.
XC90 T8
The Volvo XC90 T8 Ultra Plug-in Hybrid serves as the flagship SUV and accommodates up to seven passengers. It is powered by a 2.0-liter four-cylinder petrol engine paired with an electric motor, delivering a combined output of 462 PS and 709 Nm of torque. The powertrain drives all four wheels through an e-AWD system. The XC90 T8 features an 18.8 kWh lithium-ion battery, which allows for up to 77 kilometers of pure electric driving. Standard features include a 360-degree camera, collision avoidance systems, and an interior designed to minimize driver distraction with Nappa leather upholstery and a portrait-oriented center display. It is priced at ₱5,450,000.
Both plug-in hybrids are equipped with Volvo’s latest suite of driver assistance and safety technologies. These features are designed to support driver awareness and decision-making rather than replace them, reinforcing Volvo’s goal of fostering mindful driving habits.

The XC90 and XC60 Plug-in Hybrids are now available at Volvo dealerships nationwide. Their launch, under the banner of the "Being Alive" campaign, signals Volvo Philippines' intention to lead with purpose as it expands its electrified lineup.

In addition, Volvo has also updated the price of its latest fully-electric model, the EX30. The model is available in two thoughtfully designed variants—Core RWD and Ultra RWD Extended Range—allowing customers to choose based on their preferred performance and range requirements. The EX30 Core RWD Pure Electric is now priced at P2,350,000, while the EX30 Ultra RWD Extended Range Pure Electric is now priced at P2,690,000.
