A female Chinese national, who has been posing herself as a Filipino in business transactions, has been arrested at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA), the Bureau of Immigration (BI) said on Monday, July 14.
The BI identified her as Wang Xiujun, 43, who was intercepted by immigration officers at the NAIA Terminal 3 upon her arrival last July 13 from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
It said that it received information of Wang’s involvement in businesses of selling and distributing electric vehicles in Metro Manila while using a fraudulently-acquired Filipino identity.
It also said that Wang has a Philippine passport and a birth certificate which was acquired via late registration despite being a Chinese national holding an investor’s visa, and has been using the Filipino name Cassia Palma Poliquit.
It added that the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) has conducted a fingerprint examination of Wang and Poliquit and found that they are one and the same person.
