My very first talk show with Nay Lolit Solis was Tweetbiz on GMA7. (medyo nene pa ako nyan!) Every taping day, she would say: “Naku Mr. Fu, mas mayaman talaga si Tim Yap sa'yo!” (well totoo naman, mas maganda lang ako!) Tim was our co-host who would always have gifts for Nay Loit. (ako wala mabigay! poorita avila?!)
But when I got a coffee brand endorsement, I immediately gave her some samples. She thanked me, but did not stop teasing me. (baka di nya type yung coffee!) When I became an endorser of electric fans, I made sure to send her different kinds of fans. Her reaction was: “Lumevel up ka na! Wala ba aircon?!” (unfortunately, hanggang electric fan lang ako!)
When I left the show to transfer to TV5, she said kind words about how I work. (di ko na ispluk, basta na touch ako!) Years later, I visited her and Cristy Fermin during the launch of their online line show Take it Per Minute. I was about to enter the studio when she saw me and said, “Hoy, Mr.FU! May dala ka bang electric fan?!” (siempre pinalagay ko na sa kotse niya!) I eventually became part of the show, and they renamed it "Take It Per Minute, Meganon!" (nang dahil sa mga electric fans!)
We had already been hosting the show for several years when Cristy decided to leave. But I chose to stay with Nay Lolit. (na isang tamang desisyon!) We continued the show and reformatted it to Take it Take it! Meganon! (kebs na sa mga fake news sa mga tunay na nangyari sa original naming show!)
Nay Lolit and I had hilarious conversations on and off camera. (at kagagahan din!) And since she worked for GMA7 for decades, I listed seven memorable moments with Nay Lolit. (kulang yung 7 pero baka sabihin nya ang OA ko na!)
1) She defended me from the nasty comments of a popular female TV host. (as in parang ang galing galing ko! nabasa ko mga texts!)
2) She would always give me USD for my out-of-the-country vacations (or ipapaabot kay Tito Gorgy!)
3) When she learned that I had resigned from my radio show, she called me up to say that she had recommended me for a hosting gig. (ayaw nya raw ako maghirap!)
4) During one of my visits to her regular dialysis sessions, out of nowhere, she thought of including me in the scheduled trip to her alagas' out-of-country destination. (as in free!)
5) I hosted her 77th birthday celebration. (regalo ko na dapat sa kanya yun, pero give pa rin sya talent fee ko!)

6) She shares her “harbat” with me! (pag magkasama kami at may nagbigay! sya ang Queen of Harbat! Sana ako ang princess!)
7) Our out-of-the-blue text conversations. (okrayan with tawanan pero minsan nagsasabi yan ng I love you as friends forever!)
Nay Lolit will always be in my heart. Thank you for the love. (super love kita! walang halong kaeklayan!) Rest in peace and Happy Harbat in Heaven!
