How Samsung turns chores into cheers

Samsung unveils the AI-powered home that works for you

In a world where time is precious and peace of mind is priceless, every mom's dream team of appliances is the kind that says, 'I've got this.'  As a homemaker, I've dreamed of a home that practically runs itself, a vision that came true when I attended the Samsung Southeast Asia Tech Seminar in Bangkok, Thailand.
The seminar took place at the Business Experience Studio, where I got a firsthand look at Samsung's vision for 2025, centered on AI-powered personalization and truly connected and intelligent living that makes everyday life easier and more intuitive.
The space embodied that vision in every sense. It felt like every homemaker's dream: a home where everything simply works together. Each piece of technology operated in perfect harmony. It wasn't just smart; it was a home that practically ran itself.
Samsung's AI Home vision is built on four important goals: Ease (appliances that handle the hard stuff), Save (appliances that have smart, efficient and eco-friendly features), Care (technology that looks after your health and well-being) and Secure (appliances that could safe-guard your home with advanced privacy and security tools), all powered by intelligent, AI-driven technology.
With these goals in mind, Samsung envisions a home where everything runs smoothly, takes care of your family and keeps you safe. Have you ever dreamed of a home that can run by itself (and still feel like home)? I know I did. So for this trip, I was able to create my dream team of appliances, so just like what most busy homemakers want, I can spend more time with my family and less time on chores.
Here are the appliances that earned their spot on my dream team:
What I liked about the Samsung Experience Center is how brilliantly the Samsung AI Home setup works. Just like each player in a team, each appliance plays its role so well that it creates a seamless, intelligent home experience.
Now, I'm no expert in basketball, but if I were to form a squad based on the Samsung AI Home setup I saw in Bangkok, I'd make the 9-inch AI Home Display and the improved AI Family Hub my point guards, calling the plays and keeping the team in sync.

As the central command, the all-new 9-inch AI Home screen, which is found on newer Bespoke AI appliances, is a smart display that lets users seamlessly access functions, view personalized information on their Daily Board, and manage their home using Map View. It also connects to third-party devices via SmartThings.
To enhance hands-free control, the Bixby voice assistant now features Voice ID. This multi-voice recognition feature allows Bixby to identify who is speaking and provide personal help. With its precise and quick response, Bixby could easily earn the role of a shooting guard in this AI-powered squad.

Samsung Bespoke AI Refrigerator Side-by-Side, the power forward of the smart home
The Samsung Bespoke AI Refrigerator Side-by-Side, one of Samsung's latest AI-screen equipped appliances, earns its spot as the power forward of my smart home dream team.
This appliance is loaded with AI-enhanced features, including the 9-inch AI Home screen, an upgraded Bixby voice assistant with Voice ID, and SmartThings Energy, which tracks energy usage and can cut consumption by up to 10%.
In addition to its top-performing all-around and metal cooling technology, ensuring consistent freshness, the Samsung AI Refrigerator Side-by-Side also features an Auto Open Door function. Equipped with sensors on both sides, the doors open with just a light touch.
Craving more convenience? It also comes with a generous 4.5-liter, non-plumbing Water and Ice Dispenser for easy access to cold drinks without the need for complex installation.
Always cool under pressure (pun very much intended), this strong and efficient workhorse is the kind of appliance that gets the job done in the clutch, just like any great power forward should.

Bespoke AI Top Load Washer and the new Bespoke AI Washer and Dryer set, the small forward for the smart home squad
Samsung understands that doing the laundry isn't just about getting clothes clean; it is about doing it smarter, faster and more efficiently. That is why Samsung has incorporated the AI Wash technology into its latest Bespoke AI Top Load Washer. This advancement brings artificial intelligence not just to front-load models but also to traditional top-load washing machines as well.
The AI Wash technology uses a 3-step sensing process to detect fabric types (Normal, Delicates, Towels) in loads up to 3 kg. It can analyze fabric weight and softness, then recommend the best settings for improved fabric care.
Top-load models also come equipped with features like AI Energy Mode, which helps reduce energy consumption, and VRT+ technology, which analyzes floor conditions and automatically adjusts spin settings to reduce noise and vibration during wash cycles.
Enhanced features such as the Ecobubble Technology and Digital Inverter Technology are also available, delivering better performance and improved efficiency.
For hygiene, the Bespoke AI Top Load Washer offers a Hygiene Steam Cycle that eliminates 99.9% of bacteria, while the Stain Wash solution uses steam to effectively remove dirt, stains, and even sweat marks. And yes, it is SmartThings compatible too.
Smarter wash performance comes standard with the new Bespoke AI Washer and Dryer set, now equipped with enhanced AI Wash+ and AI Dry+ technologies. It comes equipped with an AI Home Screen that offers a more intuitive and personalized laundry experience.
Both the Bespoke AI Top Load Washer and the Bespoke AI Washer and Dryer set earn the position of small forward on my team thanks to their versatility, all-around capability and ability to adapt to any laundry situation.
From handling diverse fabric types to optimizing wash cycles or by simply being reliable workhorses for a wide range of laundry needs, these machines embody what a great small forward brings to the game.

Air conditioning solutions, the team's center, calm controller
Samsung also introduced a diverse range of air conditioning solutions with a focus on comfort, efficiency and seamless connectivity.
The new lineup features built-in WiFi, allowing users to effortlessly control and monitor their home's climate from virtually anywhere using their smartphones or other smart devices.
One standout innovation is the new Good Sleep mode, which personalizes nighttime comfort by connecting the AC with the user's Galaxy Watch or the upcoming Galaxy Ring. As the user drifts into deep sleep, the AC intuitively lowers the temperature, then gradually raises it as they approach wakefulness. The result? A more restful night's sleep and optimized comfort from dusk to dawn.

The Bespoke AI Jet Ultra, the team's shooting guard
Rounding out my lineup is the Samsung Bespoke AI Jet Ultra, the team's shooting guard.
An agile performer and a silent scorer, this powerful cordless stick vacuum delivers up to 400W of suction power. Its AI Cleaning Mode 2.0 stands out by intelligently recognizing different surface types, whether it's hard floors, carpets, or mats. It can even detect, tackle and adapt to those tricky corners that most vacuums miss. Samsung's Advanced HexaJet Motor and AI algorithm work seamlessly together to deliver customized cleaning across any home environment.
And to top it off, the all-in-one Clean Station elevates the experience with its hands-free dust disposal.
The future of homemaking is not about endless chores; it is about empowered living. Most of us homemakers envision our households as a well-oiled machine, where everything works exactly the way we want it to. Personalized, efficient, hygienic, connected, powerful; a meticulously engineered ecosystem designed to give back the most valuable resource of all: time. Because we'd rather spend it on ourselves or with families than do chores.
