Ruiz also belied reports that he will be moved to a different agency.
However, the PCO chief said that whatever happens, he is grateful for the opportunity.
“I always serve at the pleasure of the President,” Ruiz said on Monday, June 30.
“Whatever happens, I will be forever grateful for the opportunity,” he added.
Three days ago, the Palace reiterated that Ruiz remains to be the acting Communications secretary.
“Wala pa pong nakakarating sa akin. Secretary Jay remains to be the acting secretary of PCO. So, kung may mga ugung-ugong, wala pong nakakarating sa amin (Nothing has reached me yet. Secretary Jay remains the acting secretary of the PCO. So, if there are any rumors, nothing has reached us),” Palace Press Officer and PCO Undersecretary Claire Castro said last June 27.
On June 17, Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin disclosed that President Marcos reappointed him to his post after he was bypassed by the Commission on Appointments (CA).
