From coffee to cocktails: Podium Social reshapes SM Podium dining
Podium Social brings a new culinary altitude to Ortigas with curated dining concepts on its scenic sixth floor
Podium Social is the metro’s latest dining destination
A new dining hub has opened quietly at the top of The Podium in Ortigas. Called Podium Social, it brings together five distinct restaurants in a calm, open space built for good food and even better company. Set on the sixth level, it looks out across the city skyline and offers a change of pace from the buzz below.
This is not fast food or a noisy food hall. This is food served with care in a setting made for people to gather, slow down, and enjoy the meal.
Thoughtfully designed with the Ortigas community in mind, Podium Social offers a welcoming space to gather, unwind, and connect. Featuring a curated selection of five restaurants, it is perfect for family get-togethers, after-work unwinding, or simply enjoying time with friends,” said Steven Tan, president of SM Supermalls.
The concept is straightforward. Good food, no shortcuts, and plenty of room to sit, relax, and eat well. The lineup of restaurants reflects that approach.
Bistro Aurora offers contemporary Asian cuisine, built from familiar regional dishes made new through modern cooking. The restaurant was named Best New Restaurant in the 2024 Tatler Philippines Dining Guide and was also included in the Tatler Dining 20, which lists the country’s top restaurants.
Brotzeit brings German comfort food to the table. Big plates, strong flavors, and cold beer. Sausages, schnitzels, and pretzels are matched with imported German brews. The name means bread time, a nod to the tradition of casual meals paired with drink in a warm, social setting.
H Proper, opening in July, started in Cagayan de Oro and now brings its specialty-grade coffee and all-day brunch plates to the city. With beans from Ethiopia, Brazil, Colombia, and the Philippines, roasted in-house, every cup is brewed with intention. The food is just as considered, with dishes like Turkish eggs, smoked salmon croissants, and fried chicken on French toast.
Lazy Suzy, led by Chef Patrick Go, offers East Asian flavors drawn from Japanese, Korean, and Cantonese cuisines. It is made for all kinds of diners, from solo weekday lunches to full tables on a weekend night.
Osteria Antica, from the Wildflour Hospitality Group, stays close to the traditions of Italian cooking. Its menu changes with the seasons and uses ingredients like imported flour and cheese. The restaurant's brick oven was brought in from Italy, and the dishes are simple, rustic, and true to form.
Each of these restaurants stands on its own, but together they create something more. A place to return to. A floor above the noise, where food is cooked with skill and served with purpose.
Podium Social is now open at Level 6, The Podium, ADB Avenue, Ortigas Center, Mandaluyong City.
