NBI arrests man in Angeles City; seizes P160,000 worth of drugs
A man was arrested in Angeles City in Pampanga and more than P160,000 worth of illegal drugs and marijuana vapes were seized during a buy-bust operation conducted by the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI).
In a statement, the NBI identified the suspected drugs dealer as Carl Puerto Orcine, 24, who was arrested by operatives of the NBI Pampanga District Office (NBI-PAMDO) last June 14 at a bar in Barangay Lourdes West in Angeles City.
It said that seized from Orcine were 85 grams of Kush (dried marijuana flower tops) valued at about P102,000, and 21 pieces of carts or marijuana vapes valued at about P60,000.
Orcine has been charged before the Angeles City Prosecutor’s Office with sale of dangerous drugs in violation of Section 5 of Republic Act No. 9165, the Comprehensive Dangerous Act of 2022.
The NBI said the buy-bust operation was conducted based on intelligence reports that a certain person was planning to sell and distribute illegal drugs to customers and party attendees at a bar in Lourdes Northwest, Angeles City.
On the basis of the information, the NBI said it hatched a buy-bust operation and found the suspect inside his car which was parked near the bar.
