The Eastern Police District (EPD) will deploy more than 535 personnel and intensify visibility across Metro East to ensure public safety, maintain order, and assist students, parents, and teachers during the school opening on June 16.

The deployment also involves coordination with local government units, barangay officials, and school administrators to ensure comprehensive security coverage.
In support of the Department of Education's annual school opening initiative, authorities mobilized their forces across Pasig, Mandaluyong, Marikina, and San Juan to help secure school zones, manage traffic flow, and provide assistance within school premises.
EPD District Director Brig. Gen. Aden Lagradante said their goal is to ensure a safe and orderly return to school for students and all other stakeholders.
“The EPD remains committed to proactive police visibility and quick response throughout the entire opening week and beyond,” he added.

Assistance desks will also be activated in key school areas to provide immediate support to the public.
Additionally, the public was urged to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities to 911 to ensure that police can respond within five minutes, in line with the program and directive of Philippine National Police (PNP) Chief Gen. Nicolas Torre III.
