Teenage boy nabbed in Cebu City drug sting

CEBU CITY — For several weeks, law enforcers worked on a tip that an individual was allegedly peddling illegal drugs.
Operatives of Station 6 of the Cebu City Police Office were shocked when the information turned out to be accurate as the person involved was a 16-year-old boy.
After confirming the information, a buy-bust operation was launched that led to the rescue of the boy on Wednesday dawn, June 11, in Barangay Pasil here.
Seized from the boy were packs of suspected shabu amounting to more than P35,000.
Police said informants pointed to the boy as the one involved in the rampant proliferation of illegal drugs in Pasil.
Police said a follow-up investigation will be conducted to identify the individuals who supplied the boy with illegal drugs.
