Eighty-seven uniformed personnel of the Bureau of Corrections (BuCor) have been promoted to motivate them further and set standards of service within the bureau.
In a statement on Thursday, June 12, BuCor Director General Gregorio Pio P. Catapang Jr. said those promoted were 33 commissioned personnel and 54 non-commissioned personnel.
There were also seven non-uniformed personnel who were promoted.
The names of those promoted were not disclosed by Catapang.
“These new leaders are expected to guide and inspire their teams, ensuring that the Bureau continues to uphold its core values of integrity, professionalism, and responsibility,” he said.
“The mass promotion also serves as a strategic initiative to enhance the Bureau's operational efficiency, ensuring that the Bureau is well-equipped to meet the challenges ahead in the field of corrections” he added.
Also, he said the promotions “reflect a vision of cultivating a culture of excellence and integrity within Bucor and these qualities highlight their importance not just for operational success, but for the overall morale of the organization.”
