The NBI identified the Chinese national as Chen Mouzhun who was arrested during an entrapment operation conducted by operatives of the NBI Batangas District Office (NBI-BatDO) last May 27.
During the operation, the bureau said there was “failure of the Subject to show necessary permits and licenses” for selling agriculture products to undercover NBI agents.
It said its operatives seized during the entrapment operation 199 sacks of onions and 51 sacks of garlic with the labels “Imported from China.”
It also said that Chen will be charged with violations of Section 7 of Republic Act No. 12022, the Anti-Agricultural Sabotage Act of 2024.
