In an official statement, the city government said it is also assisting families affected by the flooding.
“Gayundin, ang ating mga pumping stations ay patuloy ang operasyon habang nagsasagawa ang City Engineering Department ng Sandbagging Activities para maibsan ang problema sa pagbabaha habang isinasaayos ang nasabing navigational gate (Our pumping stations remain fully operational, and sandbagging activities are actively being carried out by the City Engineering Department to help mitigate flooding)," the statement read.
The city officials added that they are regularly monitoring the MMDA’s progress and are ready to assist residents in flood-prone areas.
The local government urged the public to stay alert and follow updates from official sources as efforts continue to ease the impact of seasonal flooding.
Mayor Jeannie Sandoval on May 27, vowed to intensify the city's cleanup drives and park maintenance efforts to promote a cleaner and safer public spaces in the city.
