Taal Vista Hotel marks 85th year with 'OG Series' celebrating Filipino culinary icons

Monthly buffet at Veranda features legendary dishes from iconic food institutions and regional kitchens

Taal Vista Hotel, a storied landmark overlooking Taal Volcano, is marking its 85th anniversary by launching the OG Series at Veranda—a tribute to the Philippines’ culinary legends, one plate at a time.
The series kicked off with “Binondo’s Best,” bringing two Chinatown stalwarts into the spotlight: Masuki and Sincerity Café and Restaurant. Over two weekends, diners can savor storied flavors that have fed generations.

Masuki, known for its soul-warming mami, brings traditional Chinese-Filipino fare to Tagaytay: Asado and Bola-Bola Siopao, and Mini Siomai—unpretentious, time-honored comfort food.

Sincerity’s signature OG Fried Chicken leads its offerings, joined by Oyster Cake, Pancit Chami, and Fresh Lumpia. Together, the two institutions serve a nostalgic menu that speaks of old Manila.
Buffets run May 31 and June 7 for both lunch and dinner, with lunch-only service on June 1 and 8. Rates are set at ₱1,780 per head. Children five and under eat free with a paying adult; those aged six to twelve receive a 50% discount.
“The OG Series is our love letter to the classics,” said Ramon Makilan, General Manager of Taal Vista Hotel. “By bringing these culinary icons to Veranda, we invite guests to enjoy nostalgic flavors and discover the stories behind every dish, while enjoying our signature hospitality and scenic Tagaytay setting.”
