CAMP COL. RAFAEL C. RODRIGUEZ, Butuan City – Seven New People’s Army fighters in the Caraga region surrendered to the Police Regional Office-13 from May 1 to 22.

PRO 13-Regional Public Information Office chief Police Major Jennifer S. Ometer said they turned over firearms and explosives and vowed to help the government’s peace and development programs.
“They are already tired of hiding in the mountains and they want to live a peaceful life with their respective families and be productive in their respective communities,” Ometer said.
The PRO 13-Regional Operations Division identified the surrenderers as Ka Bong, Ka Ed, 31; Ka Yok, 57; Ka Law, 36; Ka Put, 29; Ka Rene, 29, and Ka On, 33.
PRO-13 Director Police Brig. Gen. Christopher N. Abrahano lauded their decision to surrender.
“I encourage those who are still being misled and deceived by the senseless ideology of the CTG to return to the fold of the law and avail themselves of the government programs under the E-CLIP,” Abrahano said.
