Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) Secretary Maria Antonia “Toni” Yulo-Loyzaga on Thursday, May 22, said she would file her courtesy resignation, following President Marcos’ directive for all cabinet officials to do the same.
“I serve at the pleasure of the President and trust in his wisdom on what is best for our country,” Loyzaga said in a statement..
“I will respectfully tender my courtesy resignation as Secretary of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources,” she went on.
Earlier, the Chief Executive called for the courtesy resignation of all cabinet secretaries in a move seen as part of a broader effort to recalibrate the administration following the results of the May 2025 midterm polls.
Loyzaga joins other cabinet members who have expressed their willingness to comply with the President’s order and affirmed their continued support for his leadership.
