A quiet corner of Scout Reyes now holds a space where Filipino flavors meet Italian passion.
Caffè Allor Ristorante finds soul in Filipino-Italian flavors
New Quezon City restaurant Caffè Allor brings together Italian authenticity and Filipino creativity in a piazza-inspired space
Caffè Allor Ristorante, a new dining spot in Brgy. Paligsahan, brings together two culinary traditions—Filipino and Italian—in a setting modeled after a piazza in Siena, Tuscany. Inside, a central fountain anchors a room meant to evoke the open-air plazas of Italy. It’s a detail not often seen in this part of the city.
The man behind the restaurant is Mark Wang, an entrepreneur with experience supplying premium ingredients to food-service businesses. For him, Caffè Allor is more than a business—it's a tribute. “The name is a combination of my parents' names. My father's name is Albino, and my mother's name is Lorita, so Al and Lor,” Wang said. “I wanted to do something to honor my parents.”
He and his wife visited Tuscany on their honeymoon. The streets of Siena left a mark. “I told my wife that I’d love to have a restaurant inspired by the character of the city in Italy,” he said.
That vision has since evolved into a menu that carries both Italian tradition and Filipino soul. Wang uses Italian ingredients—tomato sauce, olive oil, flour, truffle, cheese—for authenticity. But he anchors the experience with local touches, such as native coffee beans brewed in Italian style and Filipino-forward dishes meant to surprise.
Among them: a mango sinigang, sweet and sour with a crunch of crispy pork; the Golden Egg Waffle, a luxe, gilded take on street-style kwek-kwek; and Sisig Fiore, pork sisig with quail eggs served in an edible bowl. The kitchen also offers solo and shareable pasta plates, crepes, and Neapolitan pizzas with thin, crisp crusts.
“The goal for the restaurant is to create a family-friendly space where families can relax, enjoy a proper meal, and share delicious food together,” Wang said.
Beyond the food, the space is designed for comfort. There’s ample parking. A private dining area fits up to 18 people and includes a projector and sound system, ideal for product launches or family celebrations.
Caffè Allor Ristorante is located at 83 Scout Reyes corner Scout Delgado, Brgy. Paligsahan, Quezon City. It’s open daily from 9 a.m. to 11 p.m. For inquiries, guests may call 0917-137-8463 or email [email protected]. On social media, follow @caffeallor.
At its heart, Caffè Allor is a place to gather. A place where stories are shared over sinigang and pizza, under the gaze of a fountain that remembers the old world but speaks to the new.
