Meanwhile, former city mayor Del De Guzman, running under Quimbo's slate, was elected as vice mayor with 125,573 votes.
Additionally, Quimbo's husband, Miro Quimbo, secured the 2nd District congressional seat with 86,984 votes.
The newly elected mayor expressed her gratitude to Marikeños who supported and prayed for her, saying it is now time for unity, regardless of political colors.
To every Marikeño who voted, prayed, and never gave up, this victory is yours, too),” Teodoro said.
It is time to unite and work together, regardless of political colors or beliefs. We share one goal… the continued progress of Marikina),” she added.
She also vowed to continue their work and pursue it with even greater dedication, saying the city and Marikeños deserve the best.
