Comelec proclaims Cavite mayors; elections generally peaceful

CAVITE – The Commission on Elections (Comelec) has proclaimed several newly-elected city and municipal mayors following the midterm elections on May 12.
Among the local chiefs proclaimed are:
- Amadeo: Jojo Domingo
- Alfonso: Randy Salamat
- Bacoor City: Strike Revilla
- Carmona City: Dahlia A. Loyola
- Cavite City: Denver Chua
- General Emilio Aguinaldo (Bailen): Dennis Mojica Glean
- Kawit: Armie Aguinaldo
- Maragondon: Lawrence "Umbe" Arca
- Naic: Rommel Magbitang
- Noveleta: Davey Reyes-Chua
- Rosario: Voltaire Ricafrente
- Silang: Kevin Amutan Anarna
- Tanza: SM Matro
- Ternate: Lamberto Bambao
The Cavite Police Provincial Office (PPO), meanwhile, stated that the midterm elections in Cavite were generally peaceful.
“With only minimal incidents reported, the joint operations contributed significantly to the peaceful outcome of the elections,” Cavite PPO’s statement said.
A total of 2,872 personnel from the police, the Armed Forces of the Philippines, Philippine Coast Guard, Bureau of Fire Protection, and Regional Support Units have been deployed within the province to secure polling areas and enforce election laws.
