Rizal Province dominated the 2025 Regional Athletics Association Meet (RAAM), a sports tournament for student athletes in the Southern Tagalog region.
The achievement of the student athletes coming from public and private schools in the 13 municipalities in Rizal Province was the 11th straight time for Team Rizal, which will represent the Southern Tagalog (Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal, Quezon) region in the upcoming Palarong Pambansa at Laoag, Ilocos Norte in May.
Rizal Governor Nina Ricci Ynares, who was present during the closing ceremony of 2025 RAAM held at the Ynares Center in Antipolo City, congratulated the Team Rizal for the 11-peat victory of the young athletes representing the schools division offices of the Department of Education in Rizal Province.
Team Rizal, out of the total of 284 medals it collected in the competition held in various venues in Rizal Province, bagged 128 gold, 86 silver and 70 bronze.
Second overall winner was Quezon Province which brought home 42 gold, 31 silver and 42 bronze medals; followed by Batangas Province which collected 38 gold, 52 silver and 55 bronze medals.

Gov. Ynares, as she congratulated the champion team, also lauded the support of all the coaches, teachers and parents of the student players.

She also thanked the event participants from various parts of Calabarzon and the entire DepED Calabarzon family for making the sports event a huge success.

Team Rizal will represent Calabarzon in Palarong Pambansa in May, 2025 in Laoag, Ilocos Norte.
