The highly anticipated Taiwanese fried chicken brand, Roccat, has officially made its debut in the Philippines with a grand opening at Newport Resorts World Mall in Pasay City on Sept. 22, 2024.

Inspired by the imaginative concept of a “rocket cat” bringing traditional Taiwanese flavors to new horizons, Roccat promises to deliver authentic Taiwanese-style fried chicken and specialty dishes to Manila’s bustling culinary scene.

The opening event also introduced Chang Mama’s Breakfast Shop, which offers beloved Taiwanese breakfast favorites, including their famed fried noodles from Taichung, Taiwan. Chang Mama has been an online brand in the Philippines for six years, and this marks its first physical store. Plans for expansion throughout the country are in place.

Roccat and Chang Mama join Kung Fu Tea in offering the best of Taiwan’s food culture at Newport Resorts World Mall. Both brands are part of the same team behind Boss Kitchen, a fine dining establishment known for its Hong Kong and Chinese dishes.

Kapuso celebrities Rhian Ramos and Jillian Ward led the ribbon-cutting ceremony, which was well-attended by VIP guests and customers. The grand opening featured performances by dance groups, including The Subic Dance Group and Kuya Will’s Dancers, adding to the festive atmosphere.
