3 suspected illegal drug traders arrested in Bataan -- NBI
Three persons were arrested and illegal drugs worth P272,000 were seized during a buy-bust operation in Bataan, the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) said on Friday, Sept. 27.
In a statement, the NBI identified those arrested as Anwar P. Maradial, Rexie P. Tolentino, and Janording A. Usman.
The buy-bust operation was conducted in Orani, Bataan by joint operatives of the NBI Bataan District Office (NBI-BATADO), the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA), and the Philippine National Police (PNP).
“The operation also resulted in the seizure of 40 grams of shabu with an estimated value of P272,000,” the NBI said.
It also said that those arrested were charged with violations of Sections 5,6,7,11,12,13 of Republic Act (RA) No. 9165, the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
Last Sept. 21, the NBI's Dangerous Drugs Division (NBI-DDD) arrested Vietnamese national Tran Huu Tai during a buy-bust operation at a condominium in Pasay City.
During the operation, operatives seized from the Vietnamese Ketamine and Ecstacy worth P35,000 and a .45 caliber pistol.
The NBI said the Vietnamese was presented for inquest before the Pasay City Prosecutor’s Office for violation of Sections 5 and 11 of RA 9165.
