A suspected member of the Abu Sayyaf Group (ASG) wanted for various crimes has been arrested in Basilan, the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) said on Wednesday, Sept. 25.
The NBI identified the suspect as Mobin Kullin who was arrested last Sept. 23 in Isabela City by joint operatives of the NBI and the Philippine National Police (PNP).
It said Kullin was arrested based on the arrest warrants issued against him by two branches of the Regional Trial Court (RTC) in Isabela City in Basilan on cases of kidnappig and serious illegal detention.
The NBIO said "the Subject is a former Abu Sayyaf member who was involved in the City of Lamitan Siege in 2000 and was engaged in a series of kidnappings in Golden Harvest Plantation (TAIRAN) in Barangay (villate) Tumahubong, Sumisip, Basilan Province, and Zamboanga Peninsula.”
