I got excited when I learned that actress Lotlot De leon would be our special guest on our YouTube show, Marites University (so kami na ang Lotlot and Friends! Diba Rose, Jun at Ambet?!) because she was part of my two favorite Pinoy horror films, Halimaw sa Banga (oo pasok sa banga!) and Feng Shui 1(yung eksena niya sa mga bote ng Red Horse beer!)

Lotlot has been in showbiz for decades and is thankful to the industry for the love and support. (ako ba love?!)

“I am grateful na hanggang ngayon nabibigyan ako ng trabaho. Sa lahat ng kumukuha sakin, sa lahat ng nakakatrabaho ko, sa lahat ng direktor na pumipili sakin, maraming maraming salamat talaga. In return for the trust, I really try my best na galingan yung trabaho ko. Yun lang naman talaga yung maisusukli ko at yung pakikisama sa lahat ng tao.Pantay pantay tayo. Walang diva," Lotlot says (ay tamapalin ang mga pa-diva!)

Her most recent project was the series, Lavender Fields. “May Dalawang malaking series akong gagawin na kaabang abang din. I'm very excited na malaman na  nila. Pero di ko pa pwede sabihin sa ngayon." (baka pwede ako sumabit dyan ate!)

She may have done numerous acting pieces but she still dreams of portraying more challenging roles. “Marami pa ako gustong gawin. Meron pa ako mga di nagagawa. I haven't played a prosti. Mga ganyan. Mga roles na may odd jobs." (ay keri ko iacting yang prosti prosti!)

Lotlot was not exempted from intrigues in the past especially when her relationship with Ramon “Monching” Christopher ended. “Monching and I are friends. Kahapon nga lang nagtanong ako sa kanya, huy, may kilala ka bang karpintero. Wala kaming problema. Ok din sila ng Husband ko, they greet each other pag birthday ganyan. Pero noon, di ko maimagine na pupunta kami sa ganitong punto na ok kami at we can communicate na maayos. Thank God, naayos at nagkaroon ng peace within the family." (bigla ko tuloy naalala yung poging carpenter sa neighborhood namin!)

“I am very proud of all of my children.  Si Janine bilang nasa showbiz din, I am proud of her kasi sinet nya talaga yung sarili nya na patunayan ang sarili nya na karapatdapat siya sa industriya. Kasi dito sa atin, sinasabi, kaya lang nakapasok yan dahil anak ng artista. Naging motivation niya yun para mas lalong gagalingan at napatunayang marunong sya," Lotlot shares. (pwede ko bang maging sister si Janine?!)

Lotlot doesn’t interfere with Janine’s love life. But showbiz friends are expected to ask her about Janine’s past relationship with Paulo Avelino and present love interest Jericho Rosales. (ganda talaga ng ate ko!)

“Basta sakin ang importante, unang una, kagaya nyan, ipinagmamalaki ang mga anak ko. Ang sarap nung huy, girlfriend ko, o dinedate ko o yung I really want to be with her. Masarap na marinig yun from someone who is admiring your child," Lotlot explains (ay sana sabihin din ni Echo, na like nya ako!)
