BuCor has 41 new corrections officers


Forty-one new recruits have graduated as corrections officers of the Bureau of Corrections (BuCor) and are now ready for deployment in various prison facilities nationwide.

In a statement, the BuCor said the new corrections officers -- 17 men and 24 women -- graduated last Friday, Sept. 20, and will be posted as corrections officer 1.

“The graduation ceremony was a proud moment for the new graduates, marking the beginning of their journey in public service, and a testament to the support and guidance provided by the Bureau of Corrections Training Institute (CNTI),” BuCor said. 

Last Sept. 19, a total of 1,032 recruits -- 212 women and 820 men -- started training for a six-month Corrections Officer Custodial Basic Course.

At the same time, the BuCor said that 10 officials graduated last Sept. 17 after finishing their Officers Advance Course.
