One week of police ops in Rizal yield P1.6-M illegal drugs

Some P1.6 million illegal drugs were seized by police during a one week simultaneous anti-crime operations in the province.

In his report, Rizal Police Provincial Office (PPO) Director Col. Felipe Maraggun told Regional Police Office 4-A Brigadier Gen. Paul Kenneth Lucas that the police operations, conducted from Sept. 16 to 22, resulted in the arrest of 47 persons and the confiscation of 246.73 grams of shabu worth ₱1,689,764.

Of those arrested, 27 were included in the most wanted list of the police.

Maraggun said the accomplishments of the Rizal PPO have also resulted in the recognition it received on Monday, Sept. 23 at the Region 4-A Police headquarters in Calamba, Laguna.

The award, under the Zero Crime Rate Incident category, was given to the Rizal PPO and the Pililla Municipal Police Station during the culminating activity for the 30th National Crime Prevention Week and the 58th anniversary of the National Police Commission.

Police Executive Master Sergeant Excelsis R. Zamora of the Antipolo Police was also recognized for her achievements in the Association of Women non-commissioned officers and non-uniformed personnel.
