Red Velvet’s Joy in discussion to renew her contract with SM Entertainment

K-pop girl group Red Velvet member Joy is in discussion with her agency, SM Entertainment, to renew her contract.

"We are currently discussing renewing our contract with Joy,” said SM Entertainment.

The agency made the statement after it was reported that Joy met with an actor management company ahead of the expiration of her contract with SM Entertainment.

According to Korean media outlet Star News, Joy publicly criticized SM Entertainment in June about their new music video. She also expressed frustration with the lack of promotions before the release of Red Velvet’s new album.
