Fifteen undocumented foreigners -- eight Chinese and seven Malaysians --were intercepted last Sept. 2 on board speedboats off the waters of Tawi-Tawi, the Bureau of Immigration (BI) said on Monday, Sept. 2.
They were intercepted by the joint elements of the Maritime Industry Authority (MARINA), the Philippine Navy (PN), and the Philippine Army (PA), the BI said.
“All 15 shall face deportation charges and eventual blacklisting,” it also said.
The undocumented aliens were brought to Bongao, Tawi-Tawi for processing.
“Initial verification through the BI’s centralized database confirmed that the intercepted individuals are illegal entrants, as no record of their entry were found,” the BI said.
