Vice President Sara Duterte has told her perceived defenders in the House of Representatives--specifically Pampanga 2nd district Rep. Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo and SAGIP Party-list Rep. Rodante Marcoleta--to not stress themselves for her sake.
The Vice President Duterte attended on Wednesday morning, Sept, 18 the inquiry of the House Committee on Good Government and Public Accountability on the fund usage of her office, Office of the Vice President (OVP).
However, she ended up leaving early after refusing to take an oath for the purpose of the probe.
She approached and spoke to two House members during her brief time at the hearing--former president Arroyo, and Marcoleta.
“Alam niyo kasi, madaming hindi nakakakilala sa akin, pero mag-share ako kaunti ng ugali ko," the Vice President told the reporters.
(You know, a lot of people don't know me, but I will share a little about my attitude)
"Hindi ako humihingi ng tulong, alam ‘yan ng tatay ko, naging mayor siya, naging president siya, hindi ako humihingi ng tulong talaga
(I don't seek help from others, my father knows this, he served as mayor and president, I never asked for any help.)
"Kaya nga kanina kung nakita ninyo, lumapit ako kay Congresswoman Gloria Arroyo, sinabihan ko siya ‘Ma’am ‘wag ka nang magpa-stress, dahil dito sa ginagawa nila sa akin, kaya ko ito. Don’t stress yourself about it.’"

(That's why earlier, you saw me approach Congresswoman Gloria Arroyo, 'Ma’am don't let yourself get stressed anymore over what they're doing to me, I can take this. Don’t stress yourself about it.’)
"Yan din ang sinabi ko kay Congressman Marcoleta (That's also what I said to Congressman Marcoleta)," she said.
Arroyo sided with the Vice President Wednesday regarding the latter’s refusal to take an oath.
Marcoleta, on the other hand, was the one who motioned for the early termination of the OVP's budget hearing before the Committee on Appropriations last Sept. 10.
