Power outage disrupts Smart services Wednesday


Smart Communications, Inc. (Smart) said that some subscribers may experience intermittent service disruptions due to power issue at one of its facilities. 

In an advisory issued Wednesday night, Sept. 18, the Smart confirmed that the power outage is affecting service stability for certain subscribers.

Smart, however, assured customers that its teams are actively working to resolve the issue and restore services as quickly as possible.

“Our teams are working to restore services as soon as possible. Thank you for your patience, and we apologize for the inconvenience,” the telecommunications firm said. 

UPDATE: Smart announced that services have been restored and repairs were completed by 2:00 AM on Sept. 19, Thursday.

Subscribers are encouraged to restart their devices to refresh their connections.
