Connectivity issues persist for Smart subscribers Thursday


Smart Communications, Inc. (Smart) announced on Thursday, Sept. 19, that some customers in parts of Metro Manila, North Luzon, and South Luzon may still experience intermittent voice and SMS services.

This update follows an earlier advisory indicating that services had returned to normal as of 2:00 AM on Thursday.

“We are working to restore services as soon as possible,” Smart stated.

The disruptions were initially reported on Wednesday night and were attributed to a power issue at one of the company’s facilities.

Smart has announced that repairs have been completed and services have returned to normal.

“In the event that your device is unable to reconnect, refresh your connection by restarting your device/s,” Smart said.
