Guanzon calls Dela Rosa 'atapang alalake'

P3PWD Party-list nominee Rowena Guanzon believes that Senator Ronald "Bato" dela Rosa is as brave as they come.

"Panindigan ni Bato yan, atapang alalake sya eh (Bato will stand by his word, he is a brave man)," Guanzon wrote in an X post on Monday morning, Aug, 5.

The former Commission on Elections (Comelec) commissioner was reacting to a news item wherein Dela Rosa was quoted as saying that he won't seek asylum from other countries as a way to evade possible arrest by the International Criminal Court (ICC).

This is in connection with the bloody anti-illegal drug campaign of former president Rodrigo Duterte, which the ICC has been looking into.

Dela Rosa was the Philippine National Police (PNP) chief when Duterte launched his vaunted drug war in 2016.

Whether or not Guanzon is being sarcastic with her post is up to netizens to decide.

Late last month, Guanzon said she expected Dela Rosa to have another viral crying video after the ICC has tagged Dela Rosa as a suspect in its investigation.
