President Marcos said he was kept in the dark on the sneaky departure of dismissed Bamban, Tarlac mayor Alice Guo, baring that he has a "very good idea" on whose heads will roll behind her escape.
"Oh yes, definitely," Marcos responded when asked on Tuesday, Aug. 27, if he was kept in the dark about Guo's departure and whereabouts while the Bureau of Immigration (BI) was aware of it.
He revealed that they will definitely identify those who are involved, adding that they will "act very quickly."
"So DOJ (Department of Justice), was just with the secretary earlier today. He’s almost finished with a very thorough investigation, we will identify all of those who have, all of those who are involved in this, and we will act very quickly," Marcos said.
Asked if he has an idea on whose heads will roll behind this issue, Marcos said: "Very, very good idea. I have a very good idea."
He confirmed that those involved are in the Immigration bureau, and they will look into the extent of the case—on how many are involved and how deep it goes.
"Well let’s not… That’s the last part of this, how far, how deep does this go. Isa lang ba ang tao na involved, o marami sila, o sindikato ito (is there only one person involved, or there are many of them, or are they a syndicate), that’s what we are doing," he said.
"There are no sacred cows," the President reiterated.
