Dismissed Mayor Alice L. Guo of Bamban, Tarlac has been spotted in Jakarta, the capital city of Indonesia, Immigration Commissioner Norman Tansingco said on Tuesday, Aug. 27.
“May confirmation tayo na nasa Jakarta, Indonesia s’ya ngayon (We have confirmation that she is now in Jakarta, Indonesia),” Tansingco said during a radio interview.
“Hindi pa s’ya nakakalabas kasi binabantayan na rin s’ya ng Indonesian immigration kung dadaan rin s’ya sa regular ports of exit (She has not yet left because Indonesian immigration is closely watching if she will go through the regular ports of exit),” he added.
Tansingco assured that the BI has been communicating with immigration authorities to intercept Guo and turn her over to the Philippine government.
He said he was informed that last Aug. 20, Guo flew via domestic flight alone to Jakarta from Batam where her sister Shiela and Cassadra Li Ong were arrested by Indonesian authorities and deported to the Philippines.
He also said that Guo has been using her Philippine passport since leaving the Philippines.
During her travels, Tansingco disclosed that Guo has been accompanied and assisted by another person identified as Wu Dua Ren who is also in the BI’s Immigration Lookout Bulletin Order (ILBO) for being a person of interest for his involvement in Philippine Offshore Gaming Operators (POGOs) in Bamban and Porac, Pampanga.
Guo, her sister Shiela, and Ong are also in covered by the ILBO.
The dismissed mayor is currently facing a qualified trafficking in persons complaint before the Department of Justice (DOJ) in connection with the activities of the Zun Yuan Technology Center, a POGO that was raided by authorities in Bamban town.
