Dismissed Mayor Alice L. Guo of Bamban, Tarlac may have already left the Philippines illegally, the Bureau of Immigration (BI) said late Monday evening, August 19.
“We received intelligence information from our counterparts abroad that Guo illegally left for Malaysia then flew to Singapore,” BI Commissioner Norman Tansingco said in a statement.
Tansingco said that Guo illegally travelled to Malaysia in July and allegedly flew to Singapore on July 21 with her siblings Shiela L. Guo and Wesley L. Guo.
Though Guo’s name is already in the immigration lookout bulletin order (ILBO), Tansingco said her departure is not recorded in the BI’s system and centralized data base.
“So far we have not received any turnover or reports related to Guo from other agencies, including those manning our maritime borders,” he said.
On the other hand, the commissioner said the cancelation of Guo’s travel documents will expedite her extradition to the Philippines.
Tansingco also revealed that Katherine Cassandra Li Ong, a person linked to the illegal operations of Philippine Offshore Gaming Operators (POGOs), departed the Philippines as early as June 11 before being placed in the ILBO that was issued August 6.
