Armed man 'terrorizing' neighbors arrested in Puerto Princesa City
A man brandishing a gun and terrorizing his neighbors in Puerto Princesa City has been arrested by agents of the the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI).
In a statement issued on Tuesday, July 9, the NBI identified the suspect as Reymon J. Aranilla who was caught in possession of an unlicensed caliber .357 revolver with 10 pieces of live ammunition.
After his arrest, Aranilla was charged with violations of Republic Act (RA) 10591, the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act of 2013.
He was arrested last July 4 during the operation conducted by members of the NBI Puerto Princesa District Office (NBI-PUERDO).
It said the operation was conducted after “NBI-PUERDO office received information that a certain Romel and Reymon Aranilla are always carrying short firearms inside their respective sling bags and used the same to threaten their neighbors in Barangay (village) Sta. Lourdes, Puerto Princesa City.”
