Pasig LGU postpones opening of classes on July 29 due to 'Carina' aftermath
The local government of Pasig City suspended all classes at all levels for both public and private schools in the city on Monday, July 29.
It said that the class suspension was ordered to give way to the ongoing clearing operations as well as to give students and their families more time to recover from the onslaught of the Southwest Monsoon (Habagat) and Typhoon Carina in the past few days.
The local government said that while some classes in public schools in the city will be open on Tuesday, July 30, some will still open their classes from August 1 to August 5.
The photos below consist of the new schedules of class openings for the following elementary, junior high, and senior high schools in the city.

On July 27, the Department of Education (DepEd) said that 1,002 schools will delay their opening of classes that were initially set for July 29 due to widespread flooding caused by the typhoon and habagat.
DepEd said that their opening of classes will be moved to August to make way for “clean-up and rehabilitation activities.”
The regions where schools will postpone their July 29 openings include the National Capital Region (NCR), Ilocos Region, Central Luzon, and SOCCSKSARGEN.
