P3PWD Party-list nominee Rowena Guanzon wrote an X post on Wednesday night, July 24 that appeared to allude to Vice President Sara Duterte's actions amid Typhoon "Carina's" onslaught in the country.

"Palabas na daw ang typhoon from the Philippines, to Germany na (They say the typhoon is on its way out of the Philippines, it's going to Germany)," Guanzon's post read.

While there was no mention of the Vice President, the post was written amid a hailstorm of criticism online against Duterte after she and her family left for Germany before dawn Wednesday.

By the time morning came, much of Metro Manila and Luzon was flooded, no thanks to Carina.

Netizens who saw Guanzon's post read between the lines and expressed how they left about it. Here are some of their reactions:

"If only those officials who are NOT on their way to Germany are in fact helping things and not staying high and dry in their gated villages and high rise condos," wrote X user DJB.

IMoymoy was more on the nose when he angrily asked, "NASAAN ANG VP? (Where's the VP?)"

Referring to the destination of Germany, Jasper James T. Mariscal jokingly replied to Guanzon, "Doon daw po kasi ang evacuation center niya at ng family niya, pagkalayo-layo ☹️."

(Her and her family's evacuation center is located there, it's so far away.)
