Correctional Institution for Women has new superintendent

Corrections Technical Superintendent (CT/Supt.) Marjorie Ann P. Sanidad is the new head of the Correctional Institution for Women (CIW) in Mandaluyong City, the Bureau of Corrections (BuCor) said on Wednesday, July 24.

In a statement, BuCor said that Sanidad took over the post last July 15 from C/SSupt. Daisy Sevilla-Castillote who served as CIW head since June 21, 2023.

It said that during the change of command, Castillote “expressed steadfast support for the new superintendent, confirming the institution's commitment to the ongoing pursuit of safety and reformation.”

It also said that Castillote "praised the CIW personnel for their exceptional dedication and teamwork, which resulted in significant accomplishments throughout her term."

Sanidad, who was promoted to her new rank last April, previously served as the acting director of the Directorate for Reception and Diagnostic (RDC) which handles newly turned over persons deprived of liberty (PDLs) of BuCor.
