On July 21, YG Entertainment founder Yang Hyun-suk announced that 2NE1 will be holding a concert in early October and will continue the world tour next year.

This became a reality after Yang Hyun-suk and 2NE1 members had a meeting in June.

“The members of 2NE1 informed me that they'd like to hold a concert commemorating their 15th anniversary. So we caught up and happily discussed, making it all happen within this year,” said Yang Hyun-suk in a video announcing the plans for YG Entertainment artists.

He said 2NE1’s concert “will start early October in Seoul and we already booked a performance venue in Osaka and Tokyo for the end of November and December. We're in the process of adjusting schedules for further performances,” he said.

"2NE1 will continue their global tour until next year as well," he said.

The group’s return to the music scene was celebrated online. On Instagram, Sandara uploaded the photo announcing 2NE1’s return and wrote, What’s up We’re 2NE1. WELCOME BACK, #BLACKJACKS #2NE1 #투애니원 #YG #WELCOME_BACK.

The post has been liked more than one million times and garnered more than 29,000 comments as of this writing.

She also replied to a fan who warned her about her former friends who abandoned her after 2NE1 disbanded.

“Wag na wag lang bumalik-balik yung mga ex-friends ni Ati na biglang hindi na siya kilala when 2ne1 disbanded. Baka mamalimos ng tickets sayo @krungy21  parang awa i-WHO YOU mo sila. Alam kong mabait ka pero di nila deserve ng kahit anong favor from you (Those ex-friends of Ati [referring to Sandara] who suddenly did not know her when 2NE1 disbanded better not be crawling back. They may ask for tickets from you @krungy21. Please act ‘who [are] you’ too. I know that you are kind but they don’t deserve any favor from you,” the fan told Sandara.

Sandara agreed and replied, “Exactly.”

Last March, Sandara was a guest on "Supermarket So-ra," the YouTube show of Korean model and radio DJ Lee So-ra where she cried recalling how 2NE1’s disbandment affected her and how she was treated differently by people in the entertainment industry following the announcement.

"Our disbandment hit me hard. When it happened, I felt like my world was falling apart. I thought, 'This is it for me. I'll lose my home, and... How will I meet my fans from now on? I won't be able to have concerts or perform on stage anymore as well," Sandara said, SBS Star reported.

Sandara revealed, "And then there was the way people treated me differently after the disbandment. It was so tough. I felt a deep sense of sadness back then."
