On July 21, YG Entertainment posted a photo of 2NE1 on Instagram and wrote, “WELCOME BACK, 2NE1.”
Sandara posted the same photo on Instagram and wrote, “What’s up We’re 2NE1. WELCOME BACK, #BLACKJACKS #2NE1 #투애니원 #YG #WELCOME_BACK.”
On YouTube, Yang Hyun-suk announced the plan for 2NE1 following his meeting with the four members last June 27.
“Today, I have some very exciting news. The first girl group YG announced. The first successful YG girl group was 2NE1,” he said.
He added, “The members of 2NE1 informed me that they'd like to hold a concert commemorating their 15th anniversary. So we caught up and happily discussed, making it all happen within this year.”
Yang Hyun-suk said 2NE1’s concert in Seoul will be held in early October.
“It will start early October in Seoul and we already booked a performance venue in Osaka and Tokyo for the end of November and December. We're in the process of adjusting schedules for further performances,” he said.
He added, “I think this concert will be quite special. It resonates with those who grew up with 2NE1's music, sharing those memories. And in the case of 2NE1, they have an incredible number of hit songs so all the staff are working hard together to create a successful show.”
"2NE1 will continue their global tour until next year as well," he said.
