Bridges closed, classes suspended in Cagayan due to 'Carina'
BAGGAO, Cagayan – Several bridges in this province were impassable due to flooding caused by typhoon Carina’s heavy rains on Tuesday, July 23.

These were the Bagunot Bridge and Taytay-San Isidro Bridge here, the Natallag Overflow Bridge in Peñablanca, and the Mapurao and Capanickian Bridge in Allacapan.
Passable only to light vehicles were the Tamucco-Balagan-Abariongan Ruar Road in Santo Niño and the farm-to-market road and bridge in Sitio Laoc, Gonzaga.
Only one lane is passable on the national highway in Barangay San Luis, Diadi, Nueva Vizcaya. Motorists were reminded to drive carefully as the road is slippery due to rainy weather.
Classes in several towns in Cagayan were suspended due to inclement weather – all levels in public and private schools in Santa Ana, Saint Joseph College of Baggao Inc., and kindergarten to Grade 12 in Peñablanca.
