Some netizens are making a big fuss over Billy Crawford’s thinning figure. The singer-TV host and even his wife, Coleen Garcia, have quickly denied claims Billy’s into prohibited drugs. The proof of the pudding is that he’s willing to take a drug test.

Dennis Trillo clears he never posted anything against ABS-CBN after netizens (again!), called him out for an alleged slip-up. The veteran actor posted that in his many years in the industry, he has never had a serious enemy.

Among our actors, Dennis is one of the most gentlemanly, one who has also remained humble.

In closing, he said he considers ABS-CBN his first network.

Dennis and his wife, Jennylyn Mercado, recently set up their own movie production company, Brightburn. The actor also topbills GMA Pictures’ entry to the MMFF 2024, Green Bones.

Watch out for the digitally restored version of a Lino Brocka film classic, Lino Brocka, Bona (1980), starring National Artist Nora Aunor, as Cinemalaya’s closing film sometime in August.

Another digitally restored landmark film, Jose Rizal (1998), by NA Marilou Diaz Abaya, shall be shown for free to the public as part of Cinemalaya. Starring Cesar Montano and a star-studded ensemble.

I just love these beautiful quotes I encountered recently.

Leo Martinez, when asked what it takes to be an EDDYS icon, blurted: “First of all, one must be alive.”

At the 35th anniversary of leading architectural firm, Palafox Associates, this line on a tarp: “Those who have less in wheels should have more in roads.”

“Drag has changed my life, and now it is time for me to help younger queens to change theirs,” says Precious Paula Nicole, one-third of Divine Divas, Drag Race Philippines Season 1 Winner.

Fellow divas Vinas de Luxe and Brigiding chorus they owe their new life to drag, which helps them put food (and so much more) on the table.

The Divine Divas are co-owners of Rampa Drag Club, an 800-square meter choice spot along Don Eugenio Lopez Drive in Quezon City.

The club is currently training 15 young talents whose sometimes- death-defying performances kept us in awe, in a state of disbelief even, during a recent showcase.

Among them are new names like Zymba Ding, Felicia Ding, Salmo Nella, Sexy Wanda Mina, Poca, Katana, Khiendra, Neenja, Budalyn, and Bomba Ding.

“We are training them to be the best version of their artistry,” says Brigiding.

The Divine Divas, of course, played the main event, dazzling the stage with its colorful “Dreamgirls” performance, followed by their new Star Music song, “Oh, Divine Diva.”

Rampa has been revolutionizing Metro Manila’s entertainment scene with its glittery performances and avant-garde drag shows.

Liza Dino, co-owner, adds, "We want to remove the stigma against going to LGBTQ+ clubs. Drag is an art, something that even straight men and women can enjoy.”

Gone are the days when gay impersonators were downgraded, dismissed as mere ‘peria entertainers.

They now have the centerstage all to themselves at Rampa.
