An intimate gathering was held last June 25 at Nawwty’s Kitchen in Makati for Myrza Sison, confidence coach and podcaster. Trish Panlilio, the restaurant owner and good friend of Myrza, hosted the birthday celebration.
"It's a beautiful hidden gem with the perfect atmosphere for an intimate celebration. My guests were so pleased by this discovery when they arrived. It's like finding buried treasure in an urban jungle,” Myrza told Manila Bulletin. “The interiors are elegant but cozy, and the personalized touches Trish adds to her table settings reflect her good taste and attention to detail. And, of course, the food is good—make sure you try Nawwty's Crab Fat Paella!”
Handpicked by the celebrant, her guests included Phillip Te Hernandez a.k.a Davao Conyo, Project Vanity’s Liz Lanuzo, Marie Field Faith, "Mayora" Frances Lim Cabatuando of Home Buddies, Ceej Tantengco Malolos, Nikki Porter (DJ, Monster Rx 93.1, podcaster, Nuggets of Nikki), Pola del Monte a.k.a Miss Chief Editor, Bea Benedicto, Matt Balicudong (podcast producer), Colourette CEO Nina Ellaine Dizon, travel blogger Kate Alvares of Kate Was Here, Say Tioco, and Firas Abboud.
“They are all much younger than I am but I call them #Myrza’sMentors because I’ve learned so much from them and everything they do, and they continue to inspire me every day. I really value the connection I’ve made with each of them, and I wanted to thank them for their kindness and generosity. Plus, they’re all so cool, funny, and so much fun,” Myrza shared.
Aside from the sumptuous food and good company that afternoon, Myrza was touched by the impromptu suggestion by Firas, inspired from the series “And Just Like That,” where each guest shared a word to describe her and another word for everyone at the table. “It was a very touching and heartwarming moment that strengthened our bond and connection even more. I got a bit teary-eyed—and, I think, so did Trish!”
Grateful for that wonderful get-together, Myrza wishes “to embody and live out with intention all the kind words they gave me! And for everyone reading this to discover the magic of Nawwty’s Kitchen.”
