DepEd: Senior High School voucher application closes on June 4


The deadline for submitting applications for the Senior High School Voucher Program (SHSVP) ends on Tuesday, June 4, as announced by the Department of Education (DepEd).

In a Facebook post, DepEd reminded applicants of the deadline. “Ang late at duplicate applications ay hindi tatanggapin (Reminder, late and duplicate applications will not be accepted),” DepEd said.

Application for the SHSVP for School Year (SY) 2024-2025 is done by accessing the Online Voucher Application Portal (OVAP).

DepEd said applicants need to access the OVAP submit their application and complete requirements.

On May 16, DepEd opened the application for the SVSVP for the upcoming school year.

The SHSVP, as DepEd explained, is a financial assistance program that provides subsidies through vouchers for qualified senior high school learners.

Based on the DepEd Memorandum 024 series of 2024 or the guidelines for the SHSVP application, the deadline for the creation of an OVAP account was set for June 2.

DepEd said the deadline for submission of documentary requirements and the application is only until June 4 and the the posting of application results and the start of releasing the qualified voucher applicant (QVA) certificate will be on July 12.

The release of QVA certificates, DepEd said, is only until Sept. 13, 2024.

Eligibility

DepEd reminded that automatically qualified learners do not need to apply for a voucher including those who completed Grade 10 in SY 2023-2024 in DepEd public schools and learners who completed Grade 10 in SY 2023-2024 in private schools who are Education Service Contracting (ESC) grantees.

Learners who graduated high school in 2015 or earlier, incoming Grade 12 learners who were not part of the SHS VP in Grade 11, and non-Filipino learners are not eligible for SHS VP, DepEd said.
